The Wyrdplay Internotional reform keyboard map is a modification of the basic Wyrdplay Internotional map supporting the additional non-Windows-1252 characters required by the Arbdash spelling system. The basic WI keyboard map is described here.
To install the WI reform keyboard map, follow the instructions for the basic keyboard, noting that the file names for the reform keyboard are Wyrdo2r.msi and i386\Wyrdo2r.dll.
Here are the layouts of right-Alt and shifted right-Alt keys for the reform keyboard:
Because this keyboard only adds 12 characters to the character set, I will simply note the differences from and additions to the basic keyboard.
Right-Alt-shift g and h are replaced by ğ and ħ. The displaced ligatures æ and œ are moved to right-Alt-7 and right-Alt-8. The characters previously assigned to those keys, ã and õ, must be generated using the ˜ dead key.
The remaining symbols are all generated from additional dead key combinations, as follows:
¬c => č | ¬C => Č |
¬ç => č | ¦Ç => Č |
¬j => ǐ | ¬J => Ǐ |
¬ï => ǐ | ¦Ï => Ǐ |
¬v => ŭ | ¬V => Ŭ |
¬ö => ŭ | ¦Ö => Ŭ |
¬w => ű | ¬W => Ű |
¬ü => ű | ¦Ü => Ű |
´w => ű | ´W => Ű |
Note: Č is not used in Arbdash, but it is a common and useful international character, which seemed reasonable to add.
